Yahoo Maps can be your general guide to get to Ithaca, New York, but as with any computer-generated driving directions, it's always best to check a road map to be sure that the computer has chosen the best route for you. As you approach Ithaca, the following specific directions may be helpful:
Coming To Ithaca From The North (Syracuse via Rt 81 South): Take Rt 81 South out of Syracuse and get off at Exit 12 (Homer/Cortland). Take Rt 281 South and it will intersect Rt 13 South in about 3 or 4 miles. Continue on Rt 13 South all the way into Ithaca. As you approach Ithaca, Rt 13 will divide into a one way street. Stay in your left hand lane when this happens and continue straight for 5 lights. As soon as you physically pass the Agway Store, immediately (within 25 feet) get into the furthest left hand lane. Look for signs for Rt 96B South / Ithaca College. Continue on Rt 96B South for 3 miles out of town. Common Ground is exactly 2 miles south of the entrance to Ithaca College. Our address is 1230 Danby Road which is the same as Rt 96B. We are located directly across from the American Legion. Our driveway entrance is just off of Comfort Road which is just before you get to the American Legion. You will be turning right onto Comfort Road and then an immediate left into our driveway. Coming To Ithaca From The West or Northwest (Rochester, Geneva, Buffalo, Watkins Glen.....): Routes 96, 89 and 79 all lead into Ithaca and end up on Route 13 as you enter the city. Turn right onto Route 13 South and get into the left hand lane. As soon as you physically pass the Agway Store, immediately (within 25 feet) get into the furthest left hand lane. Look for signs for Rt 96B South / Ithaca College. Continue on Rt 96B South for 3 miles out of town. Common Ground is exactly 2 miles south of the entrance to Ithaca College. Coming To Ithaca From The South (Elmira, Waverly....): You will be entering the City of Ithaca via Route 13 North. As soon as you see Tops, Wegmans, Hollywood Video, Rite Aid.... get into the right hand land. Turn right onto Rt 96B South towards Ithaca College. Continue on Rt 96B South for 3 miles out of town. Common Ground is exactly 2 miles south of the entrance to Ithaca College. Our address is 1230 Danby Road which is the same as Rt 96B. We are located directly across from the American Legion. Coming To Ithaca From The East (Binghamton, Whitney Point, Albany, NYC...): You will be approaching Ithaca via Rt 96B North or Rt 79 West. If you are coming in on Rt 96B North, you will be driving through the small town of Danby. Continue on Rt 96B North for about 2 miles. Our address is 1230 Danby Road which is the same as Rt 96B. We are located directly across from the American Legion. Our driveway entrance is just off of Comfort Road which is just after you pass the American Legion. You will be turning left onto Comfort Road and then an immediate left into our driveway. If you get lost, just call us at 273-1505 and we'll help you out. If you are coming in on Rt 79 West, you will be entering the City of Ithaca on State Street. As you approach the downtown area, get into the left hand lane and continue down the State Street hill until you reach the intersection of State Street and Aurora Street. You will see the Ithaca Commons Pedestrian Mall directly ahead of you. Turn left onto Aurora Street and follow signs for Rt 96B South towards Ithaca College.
